Supervises, supports and carries out the correct procedure of preparation, presentation and portion control for all raw and cooked foods in accordance with the menu with adequate pars required for efficient serviceSupervises and supports all sushi kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high quality product is produced- daily line checks and quality controlGreets, interacts, and communicates with guests on regular basis including taking orders, handling complaints, and educating guests regarding the menuCut and prepare fish :)We are not kidding, you must be passionate about food, have an eye for detail and participate as a team collaboratorYou are constantly in motionAlways smiling, even on the insideAdapting to changes and adjustments on the flyGladly taking responsibility and not leaving it to others
Desired Qualifications:
Has five (3) or more years of experience in a supervisory / leadership role in a sushi kitchen; Head Sushi Chef or Sous Chef preferredMust be able to obtain all work cardsMust be able to work in the United States without sponsorshipExcellent knife skills and proficiency in various sushi techniques, such as cutting, slicing, rolling, and shaping sushiMust have strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and energize a diverse team of culinary professionalsMust have an exceptional personality and hospitality driven attitudeProven Leadership and training skillsDedicated and willing to go above and beyondMust be able to work in a fast- paced, guest service driven environmentSupports an environment of team member growth and developmentClear concise written and verbal communication skills
