Svoc Analyst

Job Title: SVOC Analyst Position Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and knowledgeable SVOC Analyst to conduct specialized testing of environmental samples for semi-volatile organic compounds. The SVOC Analyst will utilize advanced instrumentation, including GC-MS, and will play a crucial role in ensuring that our data meets high-quality and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Conduct sample preparation and analysis of air, water, and soil samples for SVOCs using GC-MS, or other specialized instrumentation. Interpret complex data sets, ensuring all findings meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy. Record, analyze, and document results, maintaining accurate records and adhering to quality assurance protocols. Follow laboratory safety guidelines and maintain a clean and efficient work environment. Support process improvement initiatives and assist in the development of laboratory procedures and protocols. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field. Proven experience in SVOC analysis, preferably using GC-MS. Knowledge of environmental testing protocols and quality standards (e.g., EPA methods). Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high attention to detail. Excellent organizational and documentation abilities. Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
