Job Description: Position Overview: The SVP of Corporate Development at Uniphore will be a key architect of the company's growth strategy, leading all corporate development activities and transactions. This executive will be responsible for shaping and executing strategies around mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and other growth initiatives. The role requires deep expertise in strategic finance, particularly in managing M&A activities, engaging with venture capital firms, and steering the company through complex financial decisions in the fast-evolving AI landscape.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership:Collaborate with the Office of the CEO (OCEO) to develop and implement strategies for inorganic growth, focusing on M&A, partnerships, and strategic investments.Oversee the entire lifecycle of M&A activities, from market scouting and evaluation to negotiation, deal closure, and integration, with a strong emphasis on aligning financial strategies.Partner with the OCEO and Head of Finance to develop robust financial strategies for transactions, including managing relationships with bankers, venture capitalists, private equity firms, and venture debt providers.Serve as an expert on market dynamics within the AI space, providing strategic insights that drive corporate development decisions.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with the Chief Product Officer, Chief Business Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and Head of People to ensure alignment across all corporate development initiatives.Collaborate with the CEO's office, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure all transactions adhere to corporate protocols and regulatory requirements.Risk and Opportunity Analysis:Conduct thorough risk and opportunity assessments related to potential and ongoing corporate development activities, with a focus on strategic fit and financial implications.Provide expert analysis on the valuation and structural impact of M&A transactions, ensuring informed decision-making at all stages.Due Diligence and Integration:Lead and coordinate comprehensive due diligence activities across all functional areas, including commercial, financial, product, operations, technology, sales, and marketing.Develop and execute integration plans post-acquisition, ensuring seamless transitions and alignment with Uniphore's strategic goals.Executive Reporting and Approvals:Collaborate with the Chief Strategy & Growth Officer to secure executive and board-level approvals for M&A transactions.Deliver clear, comprehensive, and balanced analyses and recommendations to senior executives and key stakeholders throughout the transaction process.Identify and analyze new markets, industries, geographies, and technologies that align with and enhance Uniphore's M&A strategy.Qualifications: Education and Experience: A master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.Proven experience leading corporate development and M&A activities within the AI or SaaS industry.Extensive experience in strategic finance, with a strong track record in M&A transactions, particularly within the tech sector.Fundraising experience and previous roles as a banker or venture capitalist are highly desirable, with a deep understanding of the AI and venture capital landscapes.Skills and Attributes: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, essential for effective execution of duties and clear communication with stakeholders.Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to navigate complex financial decisions in a fast-paced environment.Executive presence, self-motivation, and a proactive approach to driving growth and innovation.Ability to work collaboratively with senior business executives and stakeholders across various functions.Uniphore is an equal-opportunity employer and encourages candidates of all backgrounds to apply. Hiring Range: $0 - $0 - for Primary Location of USA - CA - Palo Alto. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
