We are looking for an SVP to play a hands-on role leading AI-focused accounts within our Enterprise Group.
This person will report to our Chief Client Officer, Shannon Hutto, must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, and be able to work 2 days a week in-office or on-site with clients.
Who you are: You have deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence, as well as at least three or more of the following key focus areas: app and software development, cloud infrastructure, databases, cybersecurity, and enterprise collaboration software.You have experience managing communications for publicly traded companies in the tech industry across corporate, internal, and product comms disciplines.You're adept at motivating a team to exceed their goals and consistently delivering quality work, even if unforeseen issues or changes come up.You see the big picture to identify potential conflicts -- and address them before they become issues.You prioritize collaboration and strongly believe in partnering with and building up a team; have deep experience managing and mentoring high-performing, senior-level direct reports.You've proven you can manage the budget of a sprawling program, never exceeding budget and ruthlessly prioritizing the programs that will deliver the highest business impact for clients.You're curious, creative, and entrepreneurial -- bringing smart questions, fresh thinking, and novel approaches to communications defines your success.Your day-to-day responsibilities include: Account Leadership: Serve as the lead of our largest AI-focused clients in the Enterprise Group with a large team of media relations specialists, content strategists and writers, creative and digital strategists, and corporate communications specialists.With the guidance of our Chief Client Officer, manage program budgets, ensuring your team delivers optimal service and results within scope.Provide senior-level strategic advisory services, responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships with all stakeholders within the client org.
Provide counsel to in-house comms leaders, spokespeople, and other stakeholders around strategic narrative development, storytelling, news announcement strategies, content marketing, event marketing, executive thought leadership strategies, speakers bureaus, and media training.Lead development and implementation of creative, integrated communication strategies to help clients achieve their objectives, such as category leadership and reputation enhancement.
Oversee the creation of impactful content and integrated campaigns.Team Leadership: Collaborate with fellow Enterprise Group leaders to develop and execute growth strategies and direct account staffing and forecasting.Serve as a steward of Mission North's values and operating principles.Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of communications professionals.Work closely with our Chief Client Officer, Shannon Hutto to lead our AI-focused storytelling efforts.Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the agency, including the creative, digital, and PR teams, to ensure seamless execution of client strategies.Marketing & Visibility: Represent Mission North and our clients at industry events for new business networking and personal professional development.Develop and promote compelling thought leadership across digital channels, including LinkedIn.Conceptualize and implement creative marketing campaigns and tentpole moments that promote Mission North's capabilities and services to key new business prospects (i.e., Mission North-sponsored media dinners and other events, podcasts, LinkedIn Live, etc.
)Client Service Innovation: Experienced in evolving integrated communications strategies to meet audiences where they are across a variety of formats and platforms.Intrinsically motivated to iterate and adapt with changing market dynamics.Actively use AI to enhance team performance and efficiency.Qualifications include: 15+ years of experience at PR agencies and/or supporting and leading communications in-house for enterprise tech companies.Deep understanding and interest in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.Proven ability to tap into a strong network of potential customers, partners, and talent to support practice and business growth.Strong new business development skills with a proven track record of closing and retaining new clients.Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities and commit to ongoing learning and personal growth.Leadership experience with a track record of leading and mentoring teams to achieve exceptional results.Collaborative and team-oriented approach, able to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.What makes us Mission North? Compensation Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills and prior relevant experience.

Pay Range:Expected Salary range depending on experience: $190,000-$240,000, not including year-end profit-sharing bonus.
