System Engineer

Intrepid Solutions has open a Systems Engineer position supporting a US Army client to help enable the Army to rapidly exploit and influence national capabilities and architectures in Alexandria, VA. Intrepid is the Prime on this contract, with multiple years remaining on the engagement.

Responsibilities The Systems Engineer shall develop and execute Systems Engineering processes including:
Prepare decision justification materials Prepare design studies to identify and address program / project capability gaps Prepare analysis of alternatives and recommendations for decision Prepare study results for presentation to leadership Develop and manage requirement baselines Address configuration and change management Prepare, present, and evaluate technical reviews Execute risk, issue, and opportunity management Coordinate with test and evaluation staff for execution of requirements verification and validation.
Required reports shall be provided IAW CDRL A002 and presentations shall be provided IAW CDRL A001.
Provide technical input to Simplified Acquisition Management Plans (SAMPs) to address the programs overall acquisition approach, including systems engineering and risk management approaches for TENCAP projects.
OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS: This position anticipates standard work hours, Monday-Friday.
TRAVEL: Limited or minimal travel expected.
Qualifications CLEARANCE: Active TS/SCI clearance required at the time of application.
EDUCATION: Bachelors of Science degree in engineering, engineering science, physical science, or mathematical science discipline; OR, Associate's degree in engineering, engineering science, physical science, or mathematical science discipline + 4 years of work experience; OR, 6 years of work experience.
CERTIFICATION(S): Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) recommended.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 7+ years of progressively complex experience in the design, development, integration, and testing of DOD or IC intelligence systems.
8+ years of experience in a systems engineering position working on DOD programs / projects.
2+ years of experience in a systems engineering management position leading a technical team working on DOD or IC programs / projects.
Familiar with system engineering V-model, requirements development, management and traceability, design, development, integration, validation, and verification.
Experience with review process (SRR, PDR, CDR) required.

The actual salary offered may vary based on various factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, education, geographic location, as well as internal equity, and alignment to market data.

Job Type: Full-time (onsite)
Pay Range: 155,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
