This position is a 3 to 6 month Graduate-level Internship with the platform team at Rivos. You would be involved in all stages of the product development cycle - solution path finding, design implementation, OK2Fab sign-off, bring up, function and performance validation, troubleshooting, to mass production. The individual contributor in this role will work on system power design, schematic design, PCB design, and provide feedback to the silicon team, system team, mechanical & thermal team, and firmware team from a power perspective. You would be a member of a dynamic team interacting with various key organizations across the company. Routine work includes voltage regulator design, investigations and application of state-of-the-art power components and solutions, power delivery network optimization, modeling and simulation, analyzing and validating board solutions with general lab equipment.
\n ResponsibilitiesPower system design for boards and final systems to meet the electrical, mechanical, and thermal requirementsSchematic and layout design and review for board design.Power system validation, characterization, lab bring-up, test, and debuggingWork closely with silicon power team, package team, SIPI team, and vendors to optimize power delivery solutions.Work with system/firmware engineers to resolve system level issues related to power delivery and power management.New power electronics technologies investigation and development. RequirementsKnowledge of power electronics, including MOSFET, buck, boost, linear regulators.Knowledge of board level analog and digital circuitKnowledge of feedback control theoryExperience of using circuit simulation tools (Simplis, Spice, etc.)Good hand on skills in problem solving, written and verbal communication.Knowledge and experience of electrical lab equipment and techniques Education and ExperienceCurrent student for PhD or Master's Degree.
