System Test Engineer

Position: System Test Engineer
Duration: 9 month contract to hire, you will convert perm after 9 months
Work Authorization: Must be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance
Location: Harrison Twp, MI (Hybrid – onsite at Selfridge Airbase 1-2 days per week, Mon/Thurs) Job Description: Insight Global is looking for a System Test Engineer to work for a DoD customer based out of Warren, MI.
This team is responsible for developing autonomous software for robotic combat vehicles.
The System Test Engineer will be responsible for developing test specifications to verify software requirements for an autonomous system.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle controls, sensors, and general knowledge of autonomous systems.
This role will require a secret clearance and Insight Global will process the ideal candidate for an interim clearance!
This is a hybrid position in Harrison Twp, MI.
Required Skills: BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, related engineering or applied science fieldAt least 5 years of experience implementing system engineering best practices with a focus on V&VBasic knowledge of vehicle controls, sensors, autonomous systems and functional safetyBe able to understand how vehicles workSensors: what is a sensor/what does it do?Vision, lidar, radar, ultrasonic, touch sensorsGeneral knowledge of Atlassian tool suite
