Plan, implement and document remote and failover installations, nightly backups, upgrades and maintenance in accordance with established IT policies and maintenance windows.Monitor, configure and provide tier 2 support for client systems and connected devices to achieve optimum performance levels.Plan and implement the deployment and modernization of end-user equipment and remote IT infrastructure installations.Ensure continuous and consistent remote connectivity through the implementation of standardized field connectivity and wireless deployments.
Monitor end-user data storage requirements and perform data reduction procedures in accordance with established IT data limits.Deploy, manage and support common area and meeting space connected equipment.Requisition and execute orders for new end-user equipment requests.Perform regular remote network security vulnerability scanning including deploying IDS and IPS solutions for safeguarding remote users.Perform patch management operations for internal users and connected devices.
Maintain key management operations for the recovery of encrypted storage devices.Assess and make recommendations for new end-user equipment and distribute equipment signoffs and equipment request forms.Identify opportunities for appropriate and cost-effective investment of department resources in client-facing equipment and connected services.Train end-users in the effective use and navigation of Columbia's deployed / developed technologies.Train end-users to identify security threats as they originate from external parties.Drive and be an active participant of the Columbia Way.Other duties as needed.
Requirements
Minimum 3+ years' experience in a related field or equivalent experience; Deep knowledge of operating systems, distributed computing systems and system data integrity.Prior experience using a Microsoft-based network including the following Microsoft server software and frameworks: SQL Server; Exchange Server; Office365; WSUS; IIS and ASP.NET.Must be comfortable building and replacing computer hardware.Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.Must possess excellent verbal, written, and visual communications skills.Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry strongly preferred.
