Job Description: Demonstrated experience in the analysis of recommended changes and in determining the impact on system readiness and user functionality.Performs high level engineering support on Navy surface ship combat systems requiring comprehensive knowledge and training on specialty systems.Considered technically competent on specialty systems. Recommends changes in technical application.Develops and applies advanced methods in the investigation and finds solutions of difficult military system design requirements and problems.Plans, conducts, and directs projects including coordinating the efforts of engineers and technical staff in the performance of assigned tasks.Evaluates system capabilities. Reviews completion of work including system enhancements.Position requires comprehensive knowledge to resolve complex problems and provide solutions.Full knowledge of industry practices. Ability to lead and train others.Ability to communicate technical information in an understanding manner. Qualifications: Must have 6 years' experience in the design operation and/or maintenance of complex U.S. Navy Surface Combat Systems.Must have experience in the analysis of recommended changes and in determining the impact on system readiness and user functionality.Must have experience in reading design documents, evaluating high level interface block diagrams, evaluating commercial equipment, part task trainer emulations. Desired Qualifications: None Security Requirements: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Travel Requirements: If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
