BAE Systems is seeking experienced Systems Engineers to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customerThe program delivers Enterprise Computing engineering services with modern technology solutionsThe Systems Engineer will be responsible for problem resolution, supporting existing infrastructure services, and integrating new capabilities

Responsibilities
• Strong oral and written communication skills• Work constructively with the security, operations, and development teams• Participate in requirements gathering, design process, product reviews, and deployment activities• Apply Agile/Scrum project management model• Troubleshoot systems, hardware, and software issues• Document standard operating procedures• Scripting abilities in Bash, Python, or Powershell• Ability to orchestrate Amazon Web Services• Experience with GitHub code repository• Administrative/Engineering experience with Apache, Tomcat, and Nginx web servers• Knowledge of database configuration/management using PostgreSQL or MySQL• Ensure system compliance with enterprise technical architecture and security directives• Assist in keeping management apprised of project or program status• Assist project and program teams in preparing for program management reviews
Requirements
• Candidates must have at least 16 years' experience plus a bachelor's degree• Experience in a mission-critical Linux-based environment• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills• Knowledge of security-related concepts and configuration• Familiarity with configuring Hardware Security Modules• Cloud-based design and implementation experience• Scripting experience with Perl, Bash, Powershell, and Python• Experience with infrastructure automation technologies• Experience with build automation technologies• Experience with building/using APIs and services
