Our mission is to provide those with an athletic build the fit and feel they deserve in their dress clothing. We provide a wide range of clothing but ultimately focus on men's suits and shirting. Job Description: Our Birmingham, MI location is seeking an in-house tailor who has the ability to work closely with Store Management and provide a great shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for ensuring the proper fit, altering, and confirming the fit for the gear. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: To make adjustments to men's blazers, dress pants, shirts, overcoats, and other company gear. Alterations include, but are not limited to: Shorten/lengthen sleeves Taper sides of garments Take in/out pant waist and crotch Shorten/lengthen pant length Taper dress pants, chinos Ensure proper sizing of clients Maintaining a clean and neat tailor shop Qualifications: Previous experience in alterations (5 Years) Thorough knowledge of basic machines used in alterations Proficient in sewing and making garments Keen sense of color perception and fabric types Good planning and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills Special Considerations: We will provide a space above our store allowing the flexibility to serve your own clients as well as State and Liberty customers. Under this arrangement, we would be granted priority processing and preferential pricing.
