The Talent Management Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Talent Management team, with an emphasis on the administration and optimization of our talent management system.
These responsibilities include testing/launching performance forms, organizing/setting up goals, managing changes to performance eligibility requirements, etc.
This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of talent management processes and programs designed to maximize team member productivity, performance, and engagement.
Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Talent Management Specialist at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
Serves as the primary system administrator for the talent management system (performance, goals, succession, development).
This includes system configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancements to align with organizational needs.
Coordination and tracking of multiple Talent Management initiatives such as: performance management, goal setting, succession planning, development planning, mentoring, high potential tracking, etc.
Various support, maintenance, reporting, compliance tracking, and project-related monitoring duties are involved.
Analyzes, understands, and translates a range of talent management data and information including data analysis (i.e., inspecting, auditing, transforming, and modeling data with the goal of discovering useful information, suggesting conclusions, and supporting decision-making).
Develops project plans and timelines and monitors and summarizes the progress of projects.
Monitors the execution of succession planning timelines and interfaces with the teams who support this.
Provides support to team on deadlines, issue resolution, etc.
Assists in design and delivery of live, online, and virtual training.
Conducts needs assessments or employee interviews with the goal of identifying areas for improvement.
Helps implement interventions meant to address skill or function gaps and monitors program progress to completion.
Creates and sustains training/communications content for Performance Management website.
Aggregates and performs statistical analysis on performance and talent data based on requests from project teams or senior leadership.
Integrates data from multiple databases, systems, sources or functional areas across the network to ensure data accuracy and integrity, and updates data as needed.
Interprets data to identify business trends across HMH, conducts root cause analysis of business or system problems, and/or suggests areas for process improvement at request of the leader.
Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelor's degree.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Strong project management skills from concept to planning to implementation.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to learn new systems and act as system administrator.
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
