Responsibilities: Assist the plant controller with accounting routines (SG&A, COGS, accruals, reconciliations, etc.).Prepare and analyze managerial profit and loss (P&L) statements.Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with US GAAP and managerial standards.Assist the Plant Controller with annual budget preparation.Report cost and expenses breakdown.Report COGS analysis.Direct team management with 2 people.Manage, train and develop the storeroom and procurement staff.Coordinate and ensure compliance with the Storeroom procedures.Plan and request inventory replenishment.Open Purchase Orders and follow up.Review the minimum and maximum inventory items.Track and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.Fulfill cycle counting routine, ensuring physical amounts match the books.Send invoices from international vendors to accounts payable and follow up.Follow up on accounts receivable and report aging and past-due accounts.Assist the Plant Controller in carrying out post-audit reviews.Assist the Plant Controller on special projects assigned by Corporate and/or local Management.Serve as a skilled backup for the Controller.Other duties as assigned.Requirements: Advanced Excel skills.Prior experience with accounting and/or inventory management required.Interpersonal communication skills.Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Well-organized, goal-oriented, independent worker, detail-oriented, and quick to learn new processes.Experience in a fast-paced environment requiring strong time-management skills and the ability to multitask.Education: Associates/Bachelor degree in accounting or Business Administration, Economics.10 years' experience can be substituted for education.Bilingual in Portuguese (speaking and writing) is a plus but not required.
