The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional degreed Target Development Integrator - 3D E ngineer  with experience in 3D physics-based modeling, a solid understanding of national intelligence, and knowledge of emerging 3D Augmented/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) applications. As an on-site Target Development Integrator, the fully qualified person will gain insight to the CCMD's (U.S. Indo-Pacific Command – USINDOPACOM) application of characterization information for Hard and Deeply Buried (HDBT) Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) facilities and create guidance requirements for future Target Development work. The Target Development Integrator will maintain close partnerships with all CCMD directorates and partner organizations that have overlap/interactions affecting the Target Development program direction. Ultimately, the Target Development integrator will be the on-site expert to gather CCMD requirements/requests and assist the guidance of the Target Development program work. The Target Development Integrator will be part of a larger group working to support all CCMD's future use of 3D physics-based modeling with the adaptation of AR/VR tools to visualize the merging of intelligence and targeting. The work is challenging, dynamic, relevant, and important to the U.S. security. 
Essential Functions: Integrate the customer's Target Development and other R&D tools into the CCMD operations and collect requirements for adapting current tools, creating new tools and/or applying new technologies. Support CCMD day-to-day operations, planning, contingency operations, and training exercises with a focus where applications of Target Development tools could be applied. Recommend and implement unique solutions, processes, or apply new policies/standards to achieve Target Development program objectives. Serve as the Target Development subject matter expert and instruct CCMD and other personnel on use of tools and workflow. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, or Computer Science, or Physics, or equivalent degree. 10+ years of experience solving complex problems. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within or lead a team of peers, as well as excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Self-Starter with experience working in a fast paced, high energy workplace. Willingness and ability to learn and grow into new areas of technical expertise outside of one's original field. Ability to communicate with executive leadership and user groups regarding matters of significant program importance. Ability to convince other personnel to accept current practices and foster a willingness to agree to new concepts, practices and approaches. Has expert knowledge of industry practices, advanced techniques and solutions within a professional discipline to develop new standards, processes, and solutions. Expert knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. An active TOP SECRET//SCI clearance and ability to pass a Counter-Intelligence polygraph is required. Preferred Skills: Experience supporting a CCMD specifically experience supporting USINDOPACOM. Direct experience supporting reverse engineering, threat analysis, and vulnerability/survivability assessments of WMD-related facilities, processes, and infrastructure (to include underground facilities). Experience with Military or defense-related operational planning, Joint Targeting Cycle, Facility Target Development, Facility Vulnerability Analysis, weapons effects, and/or Military Operational Planning. Experience with a defense industry production process is a strong plus. Working knowledge of engineering, 3D modeling, and geospatial analytical tools to include AutoCAD, ArcGIS, MatLab, SketchUp, Skyline Software, RemoteView, JTCG/ME accredited targeting software. Modeling and Simulation support. Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality experience creation a strong plus.
