They are currently seeking a skilled Tax Accountant to join our team and assist in managing our clients' tax compliance and reporting obligations.
Responsibilities of the Tax Accountant: Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns accurately and in compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and advise clients on tax strategies to minimize liabilities. Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide guidance to clients and internal stakeholders. Assist with tax planning initiatives, including estimating quarterly tax liabilities and implementing tax-efficient structures. Communicate effectively with clients, tax authorities, and external auditors to address inquiries and resolve tax-related issues. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on clients' tax positions. Assist in representing clients in tax audits and appeals, as needed. Collaborate with other departments to provide integrated tax solutions and support business initiatives. Qualifications of the Tax Accountant: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred. 2+ years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a financial services or public accounting firm. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Lacerte, UltraTax) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
