Insight Global is seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong focus on tax to join its Insurance Client's team. This will eventually be a hybrid position (first 90 days fully onsite) in the organization's Anaheim, CA office. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing tax-related accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and has a solid understanding of tax regulations and accounting principles. Responsibilities will include the following:
Prepare and review tax filings, including federal, state, and local returnsPossess knowledge of required state-specific tax documentation, ensuring compliance with all state regulations and timely submission of relevant tax forms and recordsConduct month-end and year-end closing processes in a timely mannerResearch and stay updated on tax law changes, identifying potential impacts on the organizationConduct thorough tax analysis to ensure compliance with applicable regulationsAssist in preparing financial statements, ensuring accurate reflection of tax positionsAdvise management on tax-related matters to optimize financial outcomes and reduce liabilitiesCollaborate with internal teams and external auditors during tax audits and reviewsMaintain accurate and organized tax documentation and recordsWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on tax
Strong knowledge of tax regulations, GAAP, and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP, or similar)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Nice to Have Skills & ExperienceCPA or other relevant certification
