Tax Director

Are you ready to make the move to Partner? Our New Castle, DE office is in the growth phase and we're ready to add a partner-level tax professional. We have the flexibility to have you start as a non-equity partner with buy-in after 1-2 years. We can also bring a partner on board who has the experience, leadership and vision that fits Maillie.

This is an opportunity worth relocating for, and Maillie will provide financial support for relocation. We're a top 300 accounting firm with a 75+ year history of helping privately held companies succeed.

Our New Castle office provides tax, accounting, audit, and consulting services to a diverse client base in a variety of industries. We've got a seasoned team along with newer staff accountants, accounting interns and administrative support. Our goal is to grow the NC office to approximately 20 professional staff in the next 5 years.

Deliverables: Strategic Business Acumen

Build strategic partnerships in the DE region Participate in Maillie's continued growth, mentor New Castle employees and develop strong partner relationships across 3 Maillie offices Collaborate with two DE partners to maximize "the firm experience" Technical Expertise

Review partnership, S-corps, 1041's and individual returns, provide complex guidance to clients Plan, manage, and execute a variety of client engagements Research complex tax issues and provide guidance to partners and clients Firm Vision

Understands the complex dynamics driving public accounting and shares ideas, implementation strategies and impediments that impact success Demonstrates partner capabilities; knowledge, drive, determination, teamwork, fun! Background: Bachelor's degree in accounting Active CPA license 10+ years providing tax consultation to individuals and clients with privately held companies Experience developing employees and executing operational initiatives Demonstrated finesse communicating at all levels throughout the organization Demonstrated success taking calculated risk
