DJJCPA is actively seeking a Tax Manager who not only excels in traditional tax preparation but also possesses strong experience and knowledge in real estate development. This role is ideal for a tax professional who understands the unique financial intricacies of real estate ventures, including land acquisition, property development, and investment tax strategies.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and file complex tax returns with a focus on real estate development entities, including LLCs, partnerships, and joint ventures.Apply strong analytical techniques to identify tax problems specific to real estate projects and propose innovative solutions.Develop and train employees on best practices in tax return preparation and work paper review, with an emphasis on real estate tax implications.Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies, particularly those related to real estate transactions and developments.Conduct tax research, with a focus on staying current with changes in real estate tax law and regulations.Skills and QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.Master's degree in taxation or a related field is a plus.CPA license required.7+ years of experience in tax preparation and tax planning for personal, business, fiduciary, and real estate clients required.3+ years of experience as a Manager, leading teams in tax-related projects is required.Strong knowledge of real estate-specific tax issues, including depreciation, 1031 exchanges, and real estate investment trusts (REITs).Effective verbal and written communication skills.Attention to detail, especially in managing complex tax structures related to real estate.Benefits: Flexible scheduleHealth InsuranceHealth savings accountVision insuranceDental insurancePaid time offAbout DJJCPA:
