Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager with strong leadership skills to oversee and manage our tax function. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, developing tax strategies, and managing the preparation and filing of tax returns. The Tax Manager will also lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to best practices in tax compliance. This position offers 3 days of remote work each week. Responsibilities: Tax Compliance and Reporting:Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.Manage and review income tax provisions, including quarterly and annual tax filings.Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, staying updated on changes in tax codes and their potential impact on the company.Tax Planning and Strategy:Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax savings, reduce liabilities, and manage risks.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide tax advice on business transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations to senior management.Leadership and Team Management:Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and review work to ensure accuracy and adherence to deadlines.Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that promotes team engagement and development.Audit Support and Risk Management:Manage and coordinate responses to tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.Prepare documentation to support tax positions and handle tax controversy issues.Identify and mitigate potential tax risks by implementing effective internal controls.Process Improvement and Efficiency:Evaluate and improve tax processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduce errors.Develop and implement standardized processes for tax reporting, compliance, and planning.Partner with finance and accounting teams to streamline data collection and reporting processes.Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 a year
