About this opportunity:
We are currently looking for a responsible, solution-oriented, and highly skilled individual to join our team as a Tax Manager. The Tax Manager for the U.S. business will be a key advisor and hands-on contributor in one of the largest Ericsson entities. You will be tasked with ensuring compliance with tax legislations, mitigating tax risks, providing expert tax advice, and guaranteeing high quality in tax accounting and reporting within Ericsson.
What you will do:
Oversee tax compliance, accounting, and reporting for a multi-entity business.
Manage compliance with direct taxes, withholding tax, and BEAT.
Monitor and implement legislative changes related to direct and indirect taxes and transfer pricing.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance shareholder value through direct tax management.
Advise on managing direct tax risks and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Create awareness among key stakeholders about the impact of income tax on results.
Develop tax strategies for each entity in alignment with global policy.
Offer financial solutions to Market and Business Areas while considering group and legal perspectives.
Manage end-of-month processes, including withholding tax and transfer pricing.
Oversee annual financial audits and ensure compliance in reporting.
Maintain transfer pricing and intercompany agreements.
Support automation initiatives to improve efficiency in the tax function.
The skills you bring:
6-8 years relevant experience as a tax professional
Experience with US Tax Compliance a must.
Extensive Knowledge of U.S. Federal & State Tax legislation
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business or related field. Master's degree a plus.
Experience supporting multi-entity global businesses.
Telecommunications background advantageous.
Experience in Tax Controversy preferred.
Candidates with Professional certifications are encouraged. CPA certification preferred.
Expert level understanding of Corptax software preferred.
Audit Management experience.
Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions
Comprehensive understanding of Transfer Pricing, preferred.
Background & experience with related party international transactions desired
Demonstrated ability to Collaborate across a complex matrixed organization required.
Demonstrated ability to explain complex topics to all levels in an organization.
Flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and high levels of tact, integrity, and confidentiality
High level of analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Understanding of IFRS and GAAP a plus.
