The Opportunity As a Tax Manager working in a hybrid model, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing tax planning, compliance, and reporting activities for the organization. Key Responsibilities In this hybrid role, you will:
Manage and coordinate all aspects of the company's tax function, including federal, state, and international tax compliance and planning, leveraging both in-office resources and remote work capabilitiesOversee the preparation and review of tax returns, estimated tax payments, and other tax-related filingsDevelop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax positionProvide technical tax advice on complex financial transactions and productsCollaborate virtually and in-person with various departments to ensure tax implications are considered in business decisionsStay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the organizationManage relationships with tax authorities, external auditors, and tax advisors through various communication channelsLead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support in both remote and in-office settingsPrepare and present tax-related reports and analyses for senior managementMinimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree in Taxation preferredCPA or equivalent professional qualification required6-8 years of progressive experience in tax, with at least 4 years in a managerial roleStrong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and tax accounting principlesExperience in the financial services industry, with knowledge of tax issues related to banking, investments, or insurance productsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong leadership and communication abilities, both virtually and in-personProficiency in tax software and MS Office suiteAdaptability to work effectively in a hybrid environmentPreferred Qualifications Experience with international tax planning and complianceKnowledge of transfer pricing regulationsFamiliarity with tax technology and process improvement initiativesProven ability to manage remote teams and virtual collaborationsCompensation and Benefits Competitive salary range: $135K - $170K, commensurate with experienceHybrid work model, balancing in-office collaboration with remote work flexibilityPerformance-based annual bonusComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) plan with employer matchGenerous paid time off, including vacation days and personal/sick leaveProfessional development and continuing education supportMentorship programs and clear career progression pathsState-of-the-art technology and resources to support seamless hybrid workGrowth and Development Our client is committed to nurturing your career growth in this hybrid work environment.
