Vaco Boston has partnered with our client, a global asset management company, that is seeking a Tax Manager to play a key role in their tax provision, financial reporting, and compliance processes.
Responsibilities Calculating the annual tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 Overseeing tax provision workflow Preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual SEC disclosures, including income tax footnote and other tax disclosures Managing portions of the compliance process, working with outsourced external tax preparers Overseeing estimates and extension calculations Assisting with local returns, estimated tax payment calculations for various jurisdictions Supporting other compliance processes, including tax information reporting and withholding as needed Responding to federal, state, local, and foreign tax inquiries and audits Requirements and Skills Bachelor's degree or better in Accounting. Masters in Taxation and CPA highly preferred 7 years of corporate tax provision and compliance experience, including hands-on preparation of provisions and returns Experience with partnerships and/or international tax compliance is a plus Team oriented, but also able to work independently Ability to mentor and develop junior staff member
