As a Manager in our Tax service line, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:Provides top-level review of federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts; also reviews related income tax workpapersLeads teams of seniors and staff accountantsOversees planning and scheduling of engagementsEnsures quality of work productMonitors work-flowCoaches/mentors individual team membersProvides formal and informal feedbackCommunicates progress to partnersDevelops business with both existing and new clientsDevelops and maintains strong client relationships with client personnel and prospective clientsWorks closely with clients to advise on income tax issues and related tax planningParticipates in professional development opportunities and training programs as neededManagement responsibilities also include firm administrative functions and initiatives such as client billingsTo be successful, these are the skills and experience you will need:Undergraduate degree; Master's degree a plusCPA certificateA minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceProficient in the taxation of partnerships, limited liability companies and other similar flow-through entities and high net-worth individualsStrong organizational and management skillsExcellent written, oral communication and documentation skillsAbility to identify and propose resolutions to complex income tax issuesDemonstrated advanced project management skillsAbility to utilize firm technology to enhance client serviceExcellent research & analytical skillsStrong team player with emphasis on the continued growth and development of team membersProficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs; Working knowledge of GoSystem a plusYou Matter - HCVT provides a variety of benefits and perks that help sustain a healthy and thriving work environment.Visit the Benefits section to learn moreThis salary range is specific to the state(s) listed and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill set and education; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
A reasonable estimate of the range for this position is $140,000 to $180,000.
