Position Overview
The Tax Manager/Sr.
Tax Manager will oversee all aspects of tax compliance and planning for the organization.
This individual will be responsible for managing a team of tax professionals and ensuring timely and accurate tax reporting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns, including 1120, 1120S, 1065, 990, 709, and estate taxManage and train a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations, staying updated on any changes or updates.Review and analyze financial statements to identify potential tax savings opportunities.Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.Provide recommendations for process improvements and implement changes as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or related field.Active CPA license.Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting.Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.Previous management experience and the ability to lead and develop a team.Proficiency in tax software, such as ProSystem FX and Quickbooks.
