Full job description We are in search of a dynamic and driven individual to become an integral part of our tax department. Holding a CPA or Enrolled Agent license is advantageous, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in tax within a public accounting firm being essential. The role demands a dedication to client satisfaction, strong analytical and organizational abilities, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills for engaging with both clients and colleagues.
Successful candidates should also demonstrate the following qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Ability to quickly learn new software.
Strong research skills to identify potential tax issues.
Competence in gathering client information for tax filing and planning.
Skill in developing and implementing methods to maximize client benefits and minimize tax liabilities.
Ability to document significant tax positions accurately.
Decision-making skills for ordinary tax matters and effective communication with supervising team members.
Knowledge of tax regulations to address client inquiries and concerns.
Experience in responding to tax notices and drafting necessary responses.
Proficiency in preparing tax accruals for corporate tax returns.
Ability to maintain and use depreciation software for client setup and report analysis.
Capability to identify book-to-tax differences.
Strong flexibility, adaptability, and time management skills.
Prior experience in the construction industry is desirable.
Multi-state tax experience is preferred.
