Our national Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Tax group is an advisory practice with significant advancement opportunities. We advise private equity firms, family offices, privately held companies and multinational corporations on the tax aspects of planning, structuring and executing M&A transactions.   RSM US LLP is looking for a dynamic M&A/Financial Instruments Tax Senior Manager to join our growing national Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Tax practice. This is a rapidly growing consulting practice with significant advancement opportunities. We advise multinational corporations, privately held companies, partnerships, and private equity firms on the tax aspects of planning, structuring, and executing M&A transactions. As a member of our M&A Tax team, you would play a critical role providing advice to our clients and firm personnel in the areas of financial instruments, corporate, and M&A tax.  In this role you would have the opportunity to advise on wide ranging issues such as recapitalization, restructuring and bankruptcy transactions, classification, sales, exchanges of financial instruments, deductibility of interest, hedging transactions, and many others. Responsibilities : ? Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team that focuses on delivering due diligence and tax structuring services, communicates findings and opportunities to clients Identify and develop high value tax opportunities for our clients Assist clients on a range of financial instrument and related M&A tax issues such as recapitalization, restructuring and bankruptcy transactions, classification, sales, exchanges of financial instruments, deductibility of interest, and hedging transactions Planning, managing, and executing on advice engagements with limited supervision Develop, motivate, and train team members  Basic Qualifications : ? Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university Requires a minimum of eight (8) years of federal tax with financial instruments and/or mergers and acquisition experience in a public accounting firm, a corporate tax department, or a law firm or comparable experience Requires one of the following:Active CPA, EA or JD Knowledge of a broad range of financial instruments and/or corporate tax matters in various industries Project management and critical thinking skills Excellent research and writing skills Preferred Qualifications :  Master's Degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field Experience with a national or large regional accounting firm  At RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.?We offer flexibility in your schedule, empowering you to balance life's demands, while also maintaining your ability to serve clients.?Learn more about our total rewards at https://rsmus.com/careers/working-at-rsm/benefits . At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range. Compensation Range: $165,600 - $332,800 Individuals  selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
