Bennett Thrasher ("BT") has an opening for a Tax Senior Manager with our Personal Financial Services Group. This individual will be working with Partners on our High Net worth Individual (HNWI) / Personal Financial Services team, Senior Managers help to lead, mentor and coach team members in various areas of tax compliance and across consulting engagements.
They are responsible for management of engagements and client communications while promoting a collaborative environment to bring value to clients.


Responsibilities: Exhibits a high level understanding of technical requirements, procedures and principles Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of specialized industry and/or regulatory requirements Manages and monitors preparation and review of complex individual, estate and trust tax returns, including projections and estimate calculations Reviews and advises on technical research memorandum Ability to apply relevant law to clients and circumstances Identifies area of specialization and is continuously refining skills, knowledge and expertise Develops effective working relationships with clients and firm associates Collaborates with others to provide quality service to clients Engages in professional and efficient communication with clients and leads client meetings Promotes additional services to clients when appropriate Develops intimate knowledge of clients and their business activities Able to develop unique solutions to client issues Communicates with the IRS and other state authorities in a professional manner Contributes and supports new ideas on internal processes and client engagements Promotes and exhibits work-life balance for associates Effectively delegates responsibility providing proper instructions, monitoring and coaching Conducts training for lower level associates Manages projects by scheduling associates, tracking completion and managing the budget Gives feedback effectively to minimize repeated errors and apply new concepts Maintains open communication with team regarding the progress of completion on projects Participates actively in training and developmental opportunities, both as an attendee and as a facilitator Manages client billing and client inquiries Develops appropriate fee quotes for new tax engagements Participates in Firm events Represents the goals of the firm of the firm on a consistent basis internally and externally Networks to promote Bennett Thrasher and for business development purposes Qualifications:Undergraduate degree required, Master's preferred CPA required 8+ years of tax experience is required Advanced knowledge of Federal and Georgia income tax laws and principles of individual and business taxation is required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills Strong project management and delegation skills
