Responsibilities:
As a Tax Staff Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in preparing financial documents for our diverse client base, including business and individual tax returns. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate directly with clients and internal teams, ensuring the delivery of top-notch services while expanding your professional skill set.
Key Duties:
- Preparation of tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals.
- Management of special projects such as tax audits and implementing tax planning strategies.
- Conducting advanced tax research to resolve complex issues.
- Leading and overseeing multiple tax engagements from inception to completion.
- Cultivating and nurturing long-term client relationships.
- Demonstrating expertise in tax matters to effectively advise clients.
- Contributing to firm-wide initiatives including marketing and recruiting efforts.
Requirements:
Experience:
- At least 1 year in a relevant position.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic business or audit principles.
Education:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (for Audit or Tax roles).
- Master's degree or completion of 150 credits in designated states.
License/Certification:
- Pursuing CPA Exam or relevant certification, if not already obtained.
- Must maintain required Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits annually.
Legal/Compliance:
- Compliance with firm policies and procedures.
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for governmental engagements.
