SUMMARY
The Taxonomy Coordinator will work with the PLI taxonomy, including indexing Course Handbook chapters, taxonomy maintenance, taxonomy documentation, and will perform regular quality control.
The position will work across the PLI organization, under the guidance of the Associate Taxonomy Manager, to align with the taxonomy for consistency of PLI content tagging.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the indexer queues and ensure content is assigned to the appropriate individual and that content is completed in a timely fashion Prepare and send weekly status reports to legal editors, program attorneys and all indexers Index PLI content using internal taxonomy with a focus on Course Handbooks Perform quality checks on the content that is indexed to ensure quality and consistency Make recommendations based on quality control checks and work with the larger team to refine workflows and processes as needed Provide training, assistance, and documentation to SMEs and other indexers.
Collaborate with the taxonomy team to maintain the machine-aided indexing ruleset Contribute to the annual taxonomy update discussion and process through providing reports and data analysis and other research as necessary Manage the day-to-day tasks in the taxonomy systems and report and troubleshoot issues if they arise, working in collaboration with other departments as needed Support taxonomy maintenance as needed Special projects, as they come up Meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines as established by supervisor Other duties, as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 1-3 years of professional experience in a related field Advanced Academic Credentials required; MLS preferred Familiarity of publication classification systems is a plus Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Analytical mindset and critical thinking Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent time management skills YOUR BENEFITS AT PLI

$60,000 - $65,000 per annum
