Job Summary Provides EL Services to English Learners individually and in groups using various teaching methods specific to second language acquisition, while supporting grade level content. This position teaches elementary and/or secondary English Learners.
What You Will Do Plans daily lessons to meet the needs of all assigned students and assists students needing additional support.Establishes clear content and language objectives for all lessons, units, and projects.Establishes and enforces rules of behavior and procedures for maintaining order in the classroom.Confers with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to celebrate academic successes and resolve behavioral problems.Designs and implements a variety of formative assessments that measure progress towards academic standards.Prepares materials and classrooms for class activities, creating a positive learning environment.Participates in collaborative curriculum development and school activities.Participates in ongoing professional development activities.
