10 months Job Summary (2-3 sentences describing job purpose): Acts as quadrant-based roving teacher assigned to fill in for teachers on leave or to temporarily fill vacancies. Performs duties that are instructional in nature and/or delivers direct services to students in the absence of regularly assigned teacher or until a full-time teacher can be identified. Department: Human Resources Reports to: Director of Talent Acquisition Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities : List, in the order of importance or time spent, the essential duties/tasks performed by the position. This is not an exhaustive list and employees may be assigned additional duties by management as required.
Job Duty/Resp. 1:
Presents subject matter to students under the direction and guidance of school principal, using lectures, discussions, or supervised role-playing methods.
Job Duty/Resp. 2:
Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and homework assignments. Communicates those objectives to students.
Job Duty/Resp. 3:
Establishes and enforces rules of behavior and procedures for maintaining order in the classroom.
Job Duty/Resp. 4:
Observes students' performance and records relevant data to assess progress
Job Duty/Resp. 5:
Prepares materials and classrooms for class activities and homework assignments. Creates a positive achievement-oriented learning environment.
Job Duty/Resp. 6:
Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injuries and damage.
Job Duty/Resp. 7:
Enforces administration policies and rules governing students. Education and Experience Requirements Education (training/degree) : Required minimum: Bachelor's degree in education or related degree. Preferred: Master's degree. Experience Requirements: Required minimum: Successful student teaching experience with current licensure. Preferred: two years classroom teaching experience . Licenses, Certifications or Registrations Required: Requires valid TN Teaching license. Endorsement in Elementary, ELA, ELL, Math or Science areas preferred.

Level 5: Establishes policies for acquiring and handling machines and equipment involving extensive latitude for judgment regarding attainment of standard or in selecting appropriate items Safety of Others:
Level 4: Requires considerable responsibility for the mid-level management of the provision of continuous enforcement of the laws and standards of public health and safety. ADA Requirements/Compliance Physical Demands :
Level 7: Requires medium to heavy work involving exerting up to 80 pounds of force on a frequent basis and exceptional dexterity and skill in operating machinery, tools, and equipment.
