We are recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), Teaching Associate - Physician Assistant (PA-C) or ARNP to partner with our orthopaedic surgeons on the orthopaedic oncology service at the University of Washington Medical Center - Montlake Campus and the Fred Hutch Cancer Center. Our Advanced Practice Providers work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team that in addition to orthopaedic surgeons includes medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology including trainees, other advanced practice providers and nurses. Our APPs are responsible for providing comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients in an inpatient, outpatient and operative setting and helping to manage a busy and dynamic service. The position is on an annual appointment with a 12-month service period (July 1 - June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This position has a flexible start date in the spring or summer of 2024.
The base salary range for this position will be: $10,000 - $12,084 per month ($120,000-145,008 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Physicians Practice Plans:
For practitioners holding an appointment in one of the physicians practice plans, additional benefits that may be available can be found here: Qualifications 1. Current Washington State Physician Assistant or ARNP License, or ability to obtain one prior to employment.
2. Graduate Degree from an accredited PA or ARNP program. Nationally certified PA-C or ARNP with DEA.
3. Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment in school or in practice.
4. Effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise in the care of orthopaedic patients.
5. Surgical experience. DESIRED
Experience in orthopaedic care preferred but we can train motivated and talented individuals.
