Lead is responsible for design, implementation, and maintaining software applications that meet business requirements.
A lead developer works with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to identify project goals, de ine timelines, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery.
Also mentor and train junior developers, review code, conduct quality assurance testing, troubleshoot issues, and stay up to date with emerging technologies.
Coordinates systems analysis and applicafions development acfivifies through direct and indirect staff.
Directs development teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direcfion, future planning, and standard development pracfices.
Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objecfives are met in a fimely manner and has an in[1]depth knowledge of the principles, theories, pracfices, and techniques for managing the acfivifies related to planning, managing, and implemenfing systems applicafions development projects and programs.
Educafion: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Informafion Systems, or another related field.
Or equivalent work experience.
Experience: A minimum of 7 years of IT and business work experience including leading developers in systems analysis and/or programming funcfions.
Complexity: Lead Web Developer in systems analysis and programming funcfions.
Typically leads and mentor's senior web developers and/or technical staff.
Works under general direcfion of senior level management.
Frequently reports to a Director, Systems and Programming, Departmental IT Execufive or Operafing Unit IT Execufive.
