In this position...
Lead engineering team (salaried) for one of two (2) main production areas at Lima Engine Plant.
What you'll do…
Responsible for all production support service facilities (such as Plant Toolroom, Precision Grinders and maintenance) required to achieve Plant's quality objectives. Responsibilities include environmental, facilities, powerhouse, industrial truck repair, rack repair (in-house only), building, waste, and waste water.
Ensures SQDCPME objectives are met in all functional groups within Plant / Facility Engineering.
Responsible for compliance with all applicable environmental regulations.
Ensure that qualified personnel, through training or appointment, are assigned to the functional positions supporting this area to meet the Plant's commitment to continuous improvement and productivity.
Responsibie for building services, and housekeeping for the plant non-production areas.
Responsibie for purchased services for common area facility and equipment maintenance and repair contracts, new construction and engineering and consulting services.
Leads the priortization and submission of CIB Projects in the areas of responsibility.
Is the designated Environmental Management Representative (EMR) for coordination, implementation and maintenance of the EMS.
Ensures the Plant meets relevant governmental regulations, special and general terms of operating permits in Ford Motor Company.
Has overall responsibility for the ISO 14001 Cross-Functional Team.
Is responsible for providing a comprehensive engineering service to production and indirect departments at the facility site.
Develop building maintenance and rehabilitation processes and strategies.
Management of resources responsible for the creation and maintenance of plant layouts, delivery and installation of production systems and production support systems through power-on.
Drive implementation of the PTO Construction Safety processes.
Leads the implementation of the FPS tools in all Plant Engineeting areas of responsibility

Education: High School Diploma
Production experience
Strong ability to interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel and plant management
Strong ability to present in front of plant management
Ability to teach Ford Production System principles
Union negotiations experience
Competent in the use of data for decision making
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to resolve diverse problems
Work well under pressure and to be able to work under crisis management when necessary
Ability to work and multi-task in fast paced environment
Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

Education: Bachelor's Degree:
Broad production or machining experience
Lead Process Coach experience
6-sigma designation preferred
Strong analytical skills and quick decision making capability preferred
Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
