Tech Assistant - Radiology - Prn

Position Summary: The Tech Assistant has duties of both a Transporter and Receptionist, while also being able to perform X-Rays under supervision of a Registered Radiology Technologist. Receptionist duties include:

Interacting with patients during registration and check-in/check-out services. Providing data entry for billing and coding of claims. Monitoring phone traffic and scheduling office visits. Advising patients of facility policies and services. Assisting with reservations and other special requests. Providing administrative support to clinic staff, providers, and patients. Maintaining product inventory and ordering. Transporter duties include:

Coordinating with doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals to take patients from the Radiology department to various locations for X-rays, scans, surgery, and other medical tests or procedures. Assisting patients in and out of vehicles and escorting or transporting them to and from the hospital lobby. Education Requirements: Radiology Student preferred.

Licensure/Certification Requirements: BLS Certification recommended.
