JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the operation and execution of entertainment shows via Show Control. Use of Advanced Control Systems for Lighting, Audio, Video, and Special Effects. Reports to a Tech II or higher.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the operation of the Technical Booth within the assigned venue or event including but not limited to the operation of lighting and audio in a live show situation using systems such as Q-SYS, Medialon, Ovation, Alcorn McBride and others.
Responsible for the appropriate installation, maintenance, and storage of show props, lighting, audio, video, ground rigging, staging set up in accordance to instruction and guidance.
Accountable for assisting in maintaining shows or event specific inventory of all Technical equipment & supplies
Accountable to strictly adhere to all policies and procedures, as defined by the Entertainment Department, governing the safe operation of all technical equipment.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED is required.
Technical school is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
1+ year experience using advanced control systems, likely within the theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity preferred.
Prior experience on advanced show control systems such as Qsys, Medialon, Ovation, Alcorn McBride, Birket and Allen Bradley preferred.
Emergency Repairs, Parts Assembly, and networking preferred.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
