Technical Account Manager Food & Nutrition: MN, IA Territory IMCD US currently has an opening for a Technical Account Manager, Food. This job will be based in the MN, IA territory.
Responsible for developing and maintaining sales within a specific business unit utilizing the Key Sales Performance Indicator system and other tools made available within the organization. In conjunction with the Principal Managers, ensure that the business plans for each of our product lines are implemented.

Successful candidates will be responsible to: Setting, regularly reviewing and revising Call Frequency ScheduleMeeting call plan set for each accountMaintaining Existing Business / Profit ContributionMaintaining and reporting on business on a regular basis, reviewing variances regularly and reporting/taking action as requiredEnsuring margin contribution is maximized (and maintained)Developing / Progressing TargetsSales representative is responsible for progress on existing targets and identification of new targetsEvidence of new business being landed and new opportunities being added on a regular and consistent basisBuilding / Cultivating RelationshipsMinimum requirements – thorough and complete understanding of the customer's businessMulti-level relationship development initiated and planned by the sales representativeInvolvement of other IMCD personnel and principalsReporting submitted in a timely mannerFollow guidelines for information required for Existing Business reportsFollow guidelines for Target Business reportsThe sales representative is responsible for the accuracy and thoroughness of their product/activity reportsOther duties as assignedSkills: Customer relationship managementEstablish connections between customer and CSR's to ensure day to day fulfillment, requests, issues are resolved in a timely/efficient mannerComplex organizational skills to coordinate and communicate between multiple customer contacts, internal resources and PrincipalsDevelop prioritized account growth plans, including annual forecasting and budgetManage account profitability – profit contributionDeliver assigned sales KPIs (call/visit frequency and reporting, Opportunity targets and updates, revenue, margin, prospect accounts, maintaining clean CRM data)CRM compliance against Call Prep and Product Reporting – Action items and account updatesComplete account coverage by PrincipalActive participation in local industry events, trade associates, etc.Execute sales activity relative to slow/dead stockMonitor contract balances and advise customers of inventory still to be shippedRequired Qualifications: Minimum of one to three years' experience in technical sales, distribution experience preferred but not requiredB.S. Degree in Science, Food Science, Business or relevant field of studyProven experience in organizing sales calls and schedules, and evidence of detailed reporting is requiredProven track record in developing and maintaining client relationshipsProven track record in developing new sales and accountsDesired Qualifications: Hunter mentality with passion for seeking new business and closing dealsCompetency in SFDC, Sales Management Systems, and Microsoft Office or equivalentExceptional skills in developing and maintaining client relationshipsDemonstrated enthusiasm and self-motivationMust be hands-on and enjoy a broad range of activitiesWill exhibit an eagerness for contributing beyond immediate duties and getting the job doneCompetencies: Business AcumenProblem Solving/AnalysisCustomer/Client FocusCommunication ProficiencyTeamwork OrientationSupervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: This job currently operates in a remote work environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise directed. Additional hours may be required as needed.
Travel: Travel will be required 40% with some overnight travel.
