Technical Business Development Senior Manager, Diagnostics Job Description The Technical Business Development Senior Manager (Tech BD) has proven success in creating and selling technical solutions in Design and Development, VAVE, Test Development, and Manufacturing.
The role is responsible for coordinating Product Domain Strategies and leveraging Jabil's global technical capabilities to deliver high-value solutions to Strategic Customers.
This role helps to grow business through providing profitable technical solutions and early-engagement wins.
The Senior Manager of Tech BD also provides guidance to relevant technology teams, creates internal and external technical roadmaps, and drives internal technology investment projects.

Responsibilities Actively support the Account Team(s) through developing complex technical solutions, serving as the lead technical point of contact in customer relationships.Coordinate specific Product Domains by working with an internal team on domain analysis, including market and technology trends, and competitive landscape assessments of target products.Know Jabil's Enterprise-Level Capabilities and leverage them for assigned Accounts.
Build/maintain a capabilities network.Capture technical requirements and create technology road maps (Internal and External).
Assist in developing and implementing strategic direction for the divisional Engineering teams through leading internal technology investment projects.Develop, manage, and deliver highly complex technology solutions for proposals/quotes, including responding to functional/technical elements of RFPs, developing complex detailed Statements of Work (SOW), business proposals and presentations, project schedules/financials, etc.Provide technical input to and support execution of account plans.Serve as primary point of contact for early-engagements on customer R&D projects, including next-gen products.Understand the assigned Business Unit (BU)'s strategic directions and provide input on technical strategy and direction.Develop and maintain close relationships with existing and potential third-party suppliers of hardware and software solutions.Maintain awareness of the evolving marketplace including new technologies that could be beneficial to integrate into Jabil's solution suite.Develop good relationships with technical counterparts at the assigned customer (Sr Engineering Leadership).Oversee initiatives that enhance Jabil's technical capabilities.Present and sell Jabil's technology to assigned customer or program.
Must be professional and comfortable doing presentations to external senior level engineers and technical leadership (VP Level).Develop a broad and deep knowledge of relevant projects underway within the business. Knowledge Requirements Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to technical management.Excellent communication and technical presentation skills.Excellent technical skills (i.e.
engineering, R&D, product design/development, commercialization per assigned sector or customer) to align Jabil division with customer's technology road map.Knowledge and good understanding of Jabil and divisional site capabilities.In-depth knowledge and understanding of technologies required to develop and commercialize Diagnostic Instruments (Clinical Chemistry, Lab, Molecular and Genomic Instruments), with a focus on complex cartridges and device integration technologies.Strong customer service skills and experience.Proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.Basic financial skill knowledge and aptitude.Basic leadership/people-management skills.Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and email skills required. Education & Background Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) preferably in engineering.Industry experience in Diagnostic Instrumentation is required.Minimum 8 years work-related experience, preferably in Engineering or Technology fields (i.e.
R&D, product design/development, road map processes, commercial process technologies, etc.
).Previous experience in a Sr. Technical Engineering role preferred.
