Technical Designer, Childrens Swim

A Leading Swimwear Manufacturer is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team in NYC.
This role will work across the kids swim division.
Requires 5 days a week onsite.
In this role, you will work with various departments to design fit and patterns for swimwear lines for the company.
Your experience in swim and/or lingerie and your exceptional technical abilities will make you an ideal candidate for this position.
You will: Create initial specs in development stageApprove fit and construction throughout development and productionMake recommendations and revisions on samplesReview tech packs and spec sheetsCollaborate with design and production teams to ensure all deadlines are metConduct fittingsIssue graded specs in preparation for bulk productionCreate 3D samples in Vstitcher using for presentation to our buyer You have: Bachelor's degree in Apparel/Technical Design, Textile Sciences, or a related fieldAt least 3+ years of swim and/or lingerie technical design experienceHigh-level proficiency in pattern CAD/CAMExcellent design skills, including drawing, sketching, color theory, layout, etc.Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsExtensive knowledge of the process of textile manufacturing and materials development Please submit a resume for consideration.
