We have opportunities in the Washington, DC area as well as Northern Virginia and Maryland. If you are looking for an opportunity in any of those locations, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  Manages the cost, schedule, and performance of small- or medium-sized Technical Direction Letter (TDL) initiated projects to develop and deliver digital transformation, modernization, and modifications in accordance with the approved Technical Direction Plan (TDP)Provide recommendations, status briefings, and other formal and informal feedback to management on all project aspectsPlan, organize, and coordinate activities with Functional Specialists, including contracting, engineering, program control, configuration and data management, test, and logistics operations supportDevelop, execute, and monitor risk management strategies to address areas of concern or potential gaps, and apply systems engineering principles, techniques, services, and practices for a disciplined approach to meeting TDL projectsCoordinate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical technical data for inclusion in TDL planning to support MESP requirements, establishing processes for accessing, updating, and distributing technical direction as required by the MESPSupport system planning and market analysis and provide technical subject matter expertise on engineering documents in the program, project, and Systems Engineering Management PlansIncludes reviewing documents, conducting assessments, and providing briefingsSupport program-level review boards, including Engineering, Configuration, Risk, and Test Review BoardsGive Project Status Reviews and presentations to accountable sponsors and Project Governance MeetingsProvides technical risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and options to improve program integrationReports to the Mission Engagement Regional Manager III, monitors project work quality, and supervises and mentors subordinatesCoordinates cost and schedule issues with both the respective Regional Site Manager and the Business Operations Director, when appropriateWork with and collaborate with other TDL Manager IIsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in an IT, Business, Engineering, Math, Science, or related fieldTwo or more (2+) years of related experienceIf a candidate does not have a degree at all, four (4) additional years of experience are requiredIf a candidate holds an Associates degree rather than a Bachelors degree, two (2) additional years of experience are requiredPreferred Qualifications:Relevant industry standard certifications such as Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), or equivalent certificationClearance Requirements: This position requires an active TS/SCI clearancePhysical Requirements:Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license. The applicant will be required to answer certain questions for export control purposes, and that information will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law.
