We are seeking aNA VEV PT Dynamometer and Quality Technical Leader. There has been a significant increase in Ford warranty in recent years.  Drastic improvements to both the quality process and the depth of technical knowledge as a corporation are needed.  The process needs to become closed loop to help drive continuous improvement.  We are looking for a Technical Leader that can help assimilate lessons learned from recent quality issues that have escaped to the customer as well as those caught late in the program.  In addition, this leader will provide expertise on P/T Dynamometer system operations and develop next generation test methodologies and operations deliver reliability and performance goals.

An opportunity to Lead P/T Dynamometer system operations and develop next generation test methodologies and operations.
What you'll do...
Create a closed loop system for Powertrain Dynamometer operations efficiencies across global dynamometer facilities.
Use technical background, understanding of global technical outlook, and historic technical leadership roles toidentify technical and system needs to modernize dynamometer facilities across global operations.
Lead overall VEV Quality Loop processes and drive DVM improvements for escapesfound on vehicles in the field, as measured by warranty, in order to ensure failure modes found in field aremapped to systemic prevents within vehicle systems and drive their prevents into system and component tests, processes, requirements and DVMs.
Focus on Powertrain and underbody warranty spend initially.
Develop and deploy quality analysis and discipline across all VEV laboratories.
Identify Design Verification Method changes to test and capture quality escape root causes.
Augment VEVs ability to challenge and contribute to DVM changes to prevent future escape points in testing. 
Teach and deploy skillset for identifying escape points, detection gaps and design rule changes.
Determine where VEV can / should supplement supplier component / subsystem testing for robustness.

You'll have...
Bachelors Degree in Engineering
10+ years of experience within dynamometer operations and strong knowledge of operation needs within facilities and their impact to Powertrain Dynamometer testing 
3+ years of experience in Reliability, though either Durability, road loads, or customer correlation processes    

Even better, you may have...
Master's Degree in Engineering
3 years or more of experience with problem solving methodologies, test plan development, and Quality Tools (FMEA, DOE, 8D, 6-Sigma Tools, Warranty Analysis)
Experience in either physical and/or CAE Durability verification acquired via an in depth understanding of automotive systems and fatigue analysis methods (e.g., ADAMS, Nastran, NVHc) Possess political acumen/discernment to effectively escalate issues for leadership awareness/assistance
Strong planning and execution skills with a focus on delivery 
A passion for quality and data combined with a drive to orchestrate the interaction of many complex systems both functionally and organizationally.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with your team and senior management.
Experience with simulation labs and key life testing.
