Technical Manager needed for contract role with our global insurance client. This is a 6 month contract to start that can be extended. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days on site in the Princeton office. Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Manager to lead our projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery, development, and ongoing enhancement of initiatives led by the architecture and engineering team. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and delivery management experience to drive high-quality outcomes aligned with strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: Product & Service Management: Technical & Delivery Management: Develop and implement strategic roadmaps for initiatives that align with broader organizational goals. • Manage the full lifecycle of initiatives, from initial planning and development through to deployment, optimization, and eventual deprecation. • Act as the key interface between technical teams, gathering requirements and ensuring solutions meet organizational needs. • Establish a clear vision and roadmap for initiatives, continuously aligning with evolving organizational priorities. • Prioritize features and enhancements based on value, feedback, and strategic relevance. • Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies. • Lead cross-functional teams encompassing product, engineering, design, and operations, fostering effective communication and coordination across departments. • Implement agile practices to support continuous and high-quality delivery, optimizing workflows, and ensuring adherence to best practices. • Proactively identify and address potential risks to project timelines, budgets, and product quality, ensuring timely issue resolution. • • Provide regular progress reports, insights, and updates to leadership Qualifications: Continuously review and refine delivery processes to improve team efficiency and project outcomes. • Ability to align project goals with organizational objectives, creating a clear path for the team to follow while balancing short-term demands with long-term strategic goals. • Skilled in engaging with stakeholders, building trust, and effectively communicating complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Capable of motivating and guiding cross-functional teams, setting a collaborative tone, and driving accountability across all levels. • Demonstrates a strong analytical mindset, able to assess complex challenges, weigh options, and make informed decisions swiftly. • Flexible in adjusting to changing priorities, able to pivot when necessary, and lead the team through transitions and evolving project demands. • Experience optimizing processes and resources to increase productivity and ensure a smooth, streamlined workflow. • Solid understanding of cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and modern development stacks (such as MERN), with the ability to dive into technical details when necessary. • Focused on achieving measurable outcomes, maintaining high standards for project delivery, and continuously looking for areas to enhance performance. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; an advanced degree or MBA is a plus. • • Experience: 5+ years in technical delivery management, with a focus on initiatives or projects driven by architecture and engineering teams. ? Proven experience delivering complex technical projects within cloud environments, utilizing MERN stack, Kubernetes, Azure services, and DevOps practices. ? • Skills: Strong expertise in modern software development methodologies (Secure SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps).
