This position sits onsite in Gurugram, India 3 days a week.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and oversee our critical data-related initiatives.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex projects related to big data, data migration, and data warehousing.
Your expertise will drive successful project execution, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans for data migration, data lake creation, and/or data warehousing initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
-Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Data Migration Management:
- Coordinate end-to-end data migration projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
-Assess technical options for addressing data migration requirements.
- Provide documented recommendations balancing time, cost, and complexity.
- Interact with vendors conducting physical migrations and application testing.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks related to data migration and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project risks and proactively address any issues that arise.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide regular status reports and presentations to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with impacted teams to ensure smooth transitions during data migration.
Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on experience managing large-scale data migration projects.
- Familiarity with cloud migration, data warehousing, and data strategy.
- Understanding of data security, quality, and compliance.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead project teams, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Foster collaboration across technical and business teams.
- Drive continuous improvement and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.).
- Proven track record in successfully managing and executing data migration, data lake, or big data projects.
- Have an understanding of data warehousing and data analytics concepts.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
- Experience with cloud platforms, data analytics, and data visualization tools.
- Experience working with Jira or Rally.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Any experience relating to Cloud migration from a data perspective
- Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.)
are a plus.
