Job Description: Agile Product Manager (Healthcare)
Location: Morris Plains, NJ – Hybrid
Contract (Potential for extension or conversion)
Position Summary:
The Agile Product Manager serves as the internal voice of the customer, defining system features and participating in validation processes. This role is responsible for managing the scope of work for the Agile Release Train (ART) and developing the vision and roadmap for the ART. The Agile Product Manager is crucial in proactively managing risks and dependencies across the Portfolio, ensuring alignment and coordination between various teams and organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the translation of business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with project objectives and technical feasibility.
Facilitate story mapping sessions to break down requirements into manageable user stories and technical tasks.
Drive the intake process, gathering and prioritizing requirements from stakeholders.
Collaborate with the software engineering team to develop and refine product backlog items using Jira and Jira Align.
Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria to guide development efforts.
Lead PI (Program Increment) planning sessions to align business goals with development priorities.
Act as a conductor/interface between business stakeholders and the technical team, managing expectations and ensuring effective communication.
Conduct test review calls to ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
Utilize strong technical expertise to provide guidance on software engineering best practices.
Demonstrate proficiency in healthcare industry standards, including HIPAA and NCPDP, to ensure compliance and security in product development.
Leverage prior experience in healthcare to understand industry-specific language, data, and financial processes, with a focus on eligibility and pre-edit functionalities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Agile Product Management, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in risk management and dependency management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Recognized expertise in providing thought leadership and handling complex assignments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile Release Train (ART) and Portfolio Management.
- Background in healthcare or related fields.
- Relevant certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager).
