Join Our Team as a Technical Product Steward

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Technical Product Steward to be a vital part of our Technical Services team, closely integrated with our US Commercial division.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, supporting customers with technical expertise, and managing the quality processes involved in product development, terminal operations, and carrier management.
Requirements What You'll Do: Drive Quality and Customer Satisfaction: Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, addressing complaints, conducting investigations, and implementing corrective actions to uphold our high standards.
Your work will be key to maintaining our reputation for excellence. Oversee Terminal Quality Operations: Lead the evaluation and qualification of new terminals and transloading facilities, ensuring they meet our stringent quality standards.
Manage critical quality programs, including manual Certificates of Analysis (COAs), marine vessel cargo approvals, and shelf-life extensions to keep our supply chain running smoothly. Support New Product Development: Manage the entire process of new product and specification development, from the initial request through setup and launch, ensuring that all products meet rigorous quality standards and customer expectations. Lead International Trade Compliance: Ensure compliance with Free Trade Agreements and manage the annual provision of compliance statements.
Conduct import/export compliance training for internal teams, monitor adjustments to tariff codes, and handle disclosures to regulatory agencies when needed. Manage Regulatory Compliance and Provide Technical Support: Stay on top of regulatory changes and manage compliance with evolving standards.
Engage in risk assessments, incident investigations, and handle updates related to regulatory, quality, or product changes, ensuring clear communication across teams. Collaborate Across Teams for Continuous Improvement: Partner with product managers, sales, supply chain, and customer service teams to align on quality and compliance objectives.
Maintain open communication with external partners, including regulatory bodies, freight forwarders, and carriers, to uphold standards across our operations. Benefits What You Bring to the Table: Educational Background and Industry Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in trade compliance within the chemical industry.
Familiarity with products such as Glycol Ether, Glycols, Glycol Acetate, and EO products is highly valued. Strong Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Free Trade Agreements, import/export regulations, and compliance standards.
Proficiency in SAP, Minitab, and SDS management tools is essential. Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage complex projects independently.
A strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality are critical in ensuring our products and processes meet high standards. Outstanding Communication and Teamwork Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage and influence a range of stakeholders.
