Position Overview:The Project Manager supports senior management to ensure technical and business objectives are achieved by utilizing technical knowledge, research experience, business skills and sound project management practices. Plan, initiate, and manage Information Technology (IT) projects. Lead and guide the work of technical staff. Serve as liaison and as the point of contact for employees, subcontractors, partners, and clients in carrying out engagements. Reports to Director of Client Services.
Location:Onsite – Bethesda, MD
Primary Responsibilities:Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage.Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.Coordinate and manage the implementation of enterprise infrastructure design, build, and migration projects.Track and communicate overall project performance with client, including timelines, costs, resources, and risks.Manage client expectations for projects; prepare weekly/monthly status reports.Utilize project management software such as MS Project.Work closely with KNZ engineers and subcontractors to identify and understand the project variables and requirements.Establish, execute, and maintain a project communication plan.Identify project risks and inefficiencies and provide recommendations for resolution and mitigation.Perform contingency planning toward ensuring project deliverables are met.Incorporate process improvement and change management strategies in planning.Prepare quality assurance (QA) specifications to guide and measure client acceptance of project deliverables.Keep technical, communications, guides, and business skills current, with an emphasis on understanding emerging technologies/regulations/security issues and their impact on KNZ clients.Manage project assets, engineers' capabilities, and availability for efficient scheduling and managing resources.Confirm all engineers effectively use KNZ and partners' administrative systems (time entry, reporting, expenses, invoicing, etc.).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.Requirement:Must be able to complete the Federal background screening process and successfully clear.
Education/Experience:3+ years' experience leading complex IT projects.Infrastructure project management experience: consulting experience preferred.Relevant IT based Project Management experience.Demonstrated ability to communicate, build and lead teams, work independently, and recommend business strategies.Ability to travel on a limited basis, as required to support assigned projects/initiatives.High degree of organization and attention to detail.Benefits:Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision.401(k) Plan.Commission, Bonus, and Profit Sharing.Sick and Vacation leave.Tuition Reimbursement / Employee Development.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Pay Range Transparency:KNZ Solutions is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for a non-commissionable role or on target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, KNZ Solutions utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
Base Salary Range:
$85,000—$120,000 USD
