\n about the role The Sales Manager - Power Burners Europe will be responsible for developing the power burner business in Europe from initial customer contact through to order and project implementation, supporting our project execution team. Proposals may involve small components or multi-million pound contracts. This requires a flexible, conscientious, hard-working and focussed individual who likes to work in a challenging environment and often to tight deadlines. The role requires a strong 'all round' engineer with a strong commercial understanding to evolve enquiries from initial enquiry to proposing technical solutions to negotiating commercial contracts ResponsibilitiesIdentifying Business Opportunities: Proactively researching and analysing market trends to uncover potential business prospects. This includes monitoring industry developments and competitors to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.Initiating Customer Contact and Developing Prospects into Enquiries: Establishing initial contact with potential customers through various channels (e.g., phone, email, networking events). Building relationships and converting these prospects into qualified enquiries by understanding their needs and proposing tailored solutions.Supporting Customers with Front-End Feasibility and Study Work: Assisting clients with feasibility studies and front-end engineering design (FEED) to help them evaluate the technical and financial viability of proposed projects. This includes preparing detailed reports and analyses for customer review.Evaluation of Customer Enquiries and Developing Work Scopes: Analysing customer requests for quotes (RFQs) and inquiries to determine their specific requirements. Developing clear and concise work scopes, which may involve the supply of equipment, provision of services, or a combination of both.Conducting Customer Plant Visits and Site Surveys: Traveling to customer sites to conduct on-site assessments, surveys, and inspections. Identifying problems or inefficiencies in their processes and equipment, and providing practical solutions to address these issues.Developing Competitive and Innovative Solutions to Meet Customer Requirements: Working closely with the engineering and design teams to create cost-effective and innovative solutions that address customer needs. Ensuring that all proposed solutions are aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Performing Process and Engineering Design, Including Equipment Sizing and Optimization: Carrying out detailed engineering calculations and design work. This includes sizing and optimizing equipment to ensure it meets performance, efficiency, and safety standards.Obtaining Supplier Pricing and Preparing Project Budgets: Engaging with suppliers to secure competitive pricing for materials and services. Preparing accurate project cost estimates and budgets, considering factors like materials, labour, and logistics.Collaborating with Internal and External Stakeholders: Working closely with external sales representatives, agents, project engineers, procurement, logistics, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth coordination across all project stages, from proposal to execution.Preparation of Detailed Technical and Commercial Proposals: Writing comprehensive technical and commercial proposals that outline the scope of work, design specifications, pricing, and project timelines. Ensuring that proposals are both technically sound and commercially competitive.Following Up on Proposals and Addressing Client Clarifications: Actively following up with clients after proposal submission to address any questions or clarifications they may have. Ensuring a clear understanding of the proposal and maintaining open communication with the customer.Presenting and Defining Concepts to Customers: Delivering professional presentations to customers that explain the proposed concepts, designs, and solutions. Clearly communicating how these solutions will address the customer's challenges and meet their requirements.Reviewing and Negotiating Commercial Terms and Conditions: Carefully reviewing contractual terms and conditions with clients to ensure alignment with company policies and risk management standards. Leading negotiations to reach mutually beneficial agreements.Commercial Negotiations and Closing Orders: Leading the final stages of negotiation with customers to secure orders. This includes handling objections, finalizing commercial terms, and ensuring all parties are satisfied with the agreement before closing.Handover of Orders to Project Engineers for Execution: Ensuring a smooth transition by clearly handing over all project details, work scopes, and contractual agreements to the project execution team. Providing ongoing support during the handover phase to ensure successful project delivery.Providing Post-Order Support to the Execution Team: Offering ongoing support to the project execution team during the implementation phase. This includes addressing any issues or changes that arise and ensuring adherence to the agreed-upon project scope and timeline.Adhering to Zeeco's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and Quality Systems: Ensuring all activities are conducted in compliance with Zeeco's HSE policies and procedures, as well as maintaining a commitment to quality standards throughout all stages of the project. Promoting a safe working environment and ensuring regulatory compliance.
