DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Enters and maintains inventory information on resources supported by Technical Support Services.
Processes purchases for equipment and software supported by Technical Support Services.
Works with museum and central administration staff to deploy current equipment standards and plan for developing technology needs.
Assists the Director in preparing yearly budgets and budget forecasts.
Correspond with staff utilizing the current ticketing, service request and support systems.
Ensure that all correspondence with supported employees and contractors are documented and addressed in a timely and effective manner.
Work closely with Information Services staff and other departments to ensure timely resolution of technical support issues.
Transport equipment within and between campus buildings.
Responsible for shipping and receiving equipment to and from remote employees.
Install computer peripherals, examples: keyboards, mice, scanners, monitors, printers, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to lift and utilize a push cart to move computer components and peripherals weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk and stand for periods at a time.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma required.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience with inventory management and customer service strongly required.
The candidate must be detail oriented with strong written and verbal skills.
Experience in providing technical support for computers and peripherals.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace applications.
Familiarity with both Windows OS and macOS operating systems.
