Job Title: Technical Writer
Location: Onsite (5 days per week.) – Santa Clara, CA
Duration: 6 months with a high potential for extension based on performance.
Schedule: Monday-Friday Key Responsibilities: Gather technical information and simplify complex details into accessible content. Create and maintain guides, specifications, best practices, and support documentation. Ensure content accuracy and usability by conducting research and lab testing. Develop and uphold templates, style guides, and content standards. Edit content for grammar, style, and formatting consistency. Utilize WYSIWYG editors, XML Authoring (DITA), and ServiceNow to manage content. Oversee multiple projects, managing deadlines, and collaborating effectively with the team. Create structured content and maintain version control within a DITA environment. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within DITA. Provide training on DITA best practices and tools. Partner with Learning & Development to align documentation with training initiatives. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in writing, content creation, or communication. Experience: Technical writing experience. Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with document formatting tools such as WYSIWYG, HTML, and DITA. Experience in DITA environments and XML authoring tools. Strong organizational, project, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of networking/data storage. Background in Knowledge-Centered Services (KCS). This role is critical to achieving our goal of delivering a world-class documentation experience, ensuring content maturity, and managing increased documentation demands.
