Technician II, Facilities
Athens GA 30601
3 Months – (Possibility to be converted to an FTE role based on business needs and performance) 2nd shift, Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday – 2pm to 12:30am, with one 30 minutes break. Start on a 90-day experience/contract and if everything goes ok, there is an option of extending the contract for another year. Summary:
Assists completion of general maintenance to facilities, HVAC, high purity water systems and equipment under supervision. Applies basic understanding of electricity, plumbing, mechanical skills and HVAC. Performs routine upkeep and cleanliness of assigned facilities as required. Complete all documentation activities to comply with FDA/EU and Good [Laboratory, Clinical, Manufacturing] Practice (GXP) regulations and guidelines.
Assists the maintenance team with basic infrastructure activities (painting, changing lightbulbs, etc.) to maintain facility operations.
Perform preventive maintenance (PM)/repairs for equipment & control systems as assigned.
Performs basic equipment service (oil change, tire inflation, cleaning, etc.) to maintain operations of site equipment.
Operate and monitor high-purity water systems to provide an uninterrupted water supply to the end users per the written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and standards.
Document all pertinent information on a daily basis.
Fulfills 'housekeeping' activities of mechanical spaces including exterior equipment locations, mezzanines, and general mechanical spaces.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work in accordance to the Site policies and procedures. Basic level of understanding of USDA and EMEA requirements of master seeds and raw materials is preferred.
Technician II, Facilities, personnel, perform basic work under supervision in a complex highly regulated environment. The complexities vary depending upon the nature of the failure & availability of spare parts.
Technician II, Facilities, personnel, interface directly with team leaders from various groups, maintenance planner, maintenance scheduler, maintenance technicians, operators and contractors. Indirectly, the are interactions with Managers.
Skills:
Understands carpentry, electricity, plumbing, and mechanical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
Can demonstrate problem solving/decision making skills
Is an agile learner with demonstrated ability to seek necessary resources and/or skills to advance technical ability and understanding of technical equipment and systems
Possesses basic computer skills required for business communication and documentation of maintenance activities.
SAP-PM basic knowledge (desirable).
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years combination of education, training, and experience in one or more of the following fields: Carpentry, Welding, Electrician, Plumber, HVAC, Mechanics, High Purity Water Generation, and/or Fire Systems.
